GLENN MERRETT Passed away peacefully at home on June 5, 2012 with his loving wife nearby and his faithful dog at his side. After graduating in engineering from the University of Manitoba, Glenn worked briefly at Bristol Aerospace and for eight years at AECL in Pinawa. In 1984, he moved to Ottawa where he met his wife Cynthia and worked at the National Research Council. Glenn realized his dream of retiring to Victoria in 2005. In retirement, Glenn pursued many passions including photography, golfing, travelling, gardening, and all things electronic. Glenn also loved to hike the trails of Thetis Lake Park with his wife, friends, and dogs, Robin and Tia. His faith was a source of great comfort especially in his last days. Glenn is survived by his wife Cynthia, his mother Muriel, his sisters Linda (Bob), Debbie (Ken), many nieces and nephews and their families, and his in-laws. While Glenn will be missed forever, we are thankful that he is now free from pain. Glenn was predeceased by his father Ken and his brother Gary.
