HARJASBIR KAUR It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Harjasbir Kaur on June 20, 2012; she was surrounded by her family until the end.Harjasbir was born in Delhi, India on June 30, 1925. She was always ahead of her time, ensuring that equality prevailed for her siblings, in a time and place where a woman's value was questionable. Harjasbir endured many hardships but always prevailed, she led a very beautiful life. She is survived by two daughters Paramjeet and Sandaljeet (Onkar); a son, Jaspal (Jasbir); six grandchildren, Amrit (Darren), Komal (Sukhmeet), Ajit, Vanshpal (Suprita), Vikram, Simi; and one great-grandchild, Tristan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gopal Singh. The funeral services will be held on Sunday, June 24 at 10.00 a.m at Thomson in the Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd., Winnipeg, MB. Following the ceremony, Sikh prayer services and Akhand Path will be held at Khalsa Diwan Society, 807 Mcleod Ave.
