JUDY KATHERINE SULKERS (nee HILDEBRAND) It is with deep sadness the family announces the passing of Judy on Tuesday, June 19, 2012, with her family at her side at the Sioux Lookout Hospital. Judy will be missed by her best friend and husband Randy (together for the past 42 years and would have celebrated their 29th wedding anniversary on July 23); their son Dustin (Celine), grandsons Clayton and newborn Jake, daughter Shauna and grandson Domenic. Also surviving is special niece Bev Thiessen, close friends and family Bev and Armand Piche, and Penny and Danny MacIntosh, who have been so kind and generous throughout the years. She will also be missed by the Sulkers family, Judy Winship, Bob (Nancy) Sulkers, Jan (Tom) Anderson, Kim (Larry) Dyck, and many nieces and nephews. Judy was predeceased by her father Dick, mother Helen Toews, sister Caroline, brother Rick, grandma Mae Sulkers and Papa Vern. Judy was born on September 19, 1955, in Winnipeg. She moved to Big Trout Lake with Randy in 1975, which was the beginning of many years spent with the Bearskin Air family. In 1980, they moved to Sioux Lookout to continue their careers with Bearskin and then started their own family. Many precious memories were made at Camp with friends and family and special traditions will continue, many fish will be caught and many laughs will be heard around the campfire with her three special grandsons listening and learning all about grandma Judy. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, June 28, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. at the St. Andrew's United Church in Sioux Lookout with Rev. Warner Bloomfield officiating. Cremation has taken place and interment of ashes will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Judy's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of your choice through the Sioux Lookout Funeral Home, Box 1449, Sioux Lookout ON, P8T 1B9.

Condolences & Memories (4 entries)

  • Mom, it’s been 11 years since you left us. They say time heals all wounds, obviously it hasn’t been long enough. I miss you every single day, some are harder than others but the pain is still there. I believe you are able to watch over us and see your grandchildren grow up. I try to tell them stories about you and keep you in our thoughts. I often look to you for guidance and strength to carry on in my own life, and have never given up hope that you will guide me and my family through this journey called life. I love, miss and respect you with everything I have. I’ll see you one day, and you better have the heaven rug frillies all pointing in the right direction. Love your son, Dustin. I miss you so much. - Posted by: Dustin (Son) on: Nov 23, 2023
