DAVID CALOF David Calof passed away June 26, 2012, after a brief illness. He was predeceased by his Momma, Frieda Calof (nee Katz), his father Maurice Calof and brother Norman. David trained to be a Rabbi but instead his depression led him to helping others with this illness. His work as a volunteer for the Mood Disorders Association of Manitoba was dedicated and compassionate. He helped many feel safe and understand their disorders. David was a brilliant, kind and thoughtful man. David's life mission was to help those with mental illness. He gave us strength to carry on, find recovery and in that he succeeded. He will be missed. He supported MDAM, CMHA, Seneca House and the Foodbank. We will all miss him as his family at Mood Disorders Association of Manitoba. Graveside service to be held at Rosh Pina Memorial Park at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 28, 2795 Main St., West Kildonan. Rabbi Lander officiating. Reception is to follow at Mood Disorders Association of Manitoba 4 Fort St. at 3:30 p.m.
