Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALEXANDER HALAGAZA July 14, 1924 - June 27, 2012 Peacefully at Tuxedo Villa Nursing Home in Winnipeg at the age of 88 years. Alex was predeceased by his wife Mary Halagaza, son Larry Halagaza, parents Joe and Pearl Halagaza, his brothers Bill, John and Peter Halagaza and sister Josie Bilocerkonec. Alex will be dearly missed by his brother Paul Halagaza of Slave Lake, AB, sisters Anne Holowach of Edmonton, AB, Mary Woods of Castlegar, BC and many nephews and nieces. Alex worked for the CNR for 39 years as a conductor and loved his job. Alex was a very kind gentleman who was a friend to all. He loved to tell jokes and make everyone laugh A special thank you to nephew Gary and wife Fern Welz for all their special care. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 7, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Thomson Funeral Home, 669 Broadway (at Sherbrook). Viewing will take place prior the funeral at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Holy Family Cemetery on Main Street in West St. Paul. We would like to extend thanks and gratitude to all the caring staff at Tuxedo Villa Nursing Home. Your kindness and compassion will not be forgotten.
