Harvey was the best mentor a young trucker could have met. I met Harvey back in the mid seventies when I started trucking. I can tell you he taught me lots, but the thing I remember most is how he loved to have fun and laugh. He made trucking enjoyable whenever you had the pleasure to run with him down the road. Rest in peace Harv. My deepest condolences to his family. - Posted by: Peter Polet (friend) on: Jul 25, 2012

I was honored to have known Harvey. My fondest memories are of his avid story telling and quick wittedness. I had the privilege of working with him for a number of years where he entrusted me with the responsibility of co-driver. I learned a lot through the time I spent with Harvey and thank him for taking me under his wing. Liz and I wish Shirley the best for the future. Our deepest sympathies go out to Shirley and her family for this great loss. Know that our thoughts are with you during this difficult time. Harvey was someone who was very special to us. Ray & Harvey drove together for many years there are stories that could be told and hours of reminiscing could take place. One thing that sticks out is that for many years many driver thought that Harvey & I were brothers and to this day I occasionally get asked how my brother is doing. People actually believed it, and to some degree so did I. Harvey was a special friend and a brother to me while driving up and down the road for many many miles. - Posted by: Raymond & Ida Wonnick (Friend / Co-Worker) on: Jul 21, 2012
