RUTH JONES (nee ESSERY) Ruth Jones (nee Essery) passed away on Thursday, July 26, 2012, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was her husband Bob Jones' soul mate and the love of his life. She is dearly missed by him and her three children: Doug, Debbie and Sue, along with their spouses Dawn and Andy and her four grandchildren: Cole, Cheyenne, Taylor and Nikki. Ruth was a loving, caring person who always thought of others first. She devoted herself to raising her children and was the backbone of her family. She was always actively involved in the community whether as a top competitive downhill skier or leader with the Girl Guides. The family would like to thank Dr. Keith, Lindsey and the staff of the palliative care unit at the Saanich Penisula Hospital for all their caring support during this difficult time. Ruth's desire was not to have a funeral but to celebrate her memory as a vibrant human being who lived life to the full.
