JOHN AARON SIEMENS After a year spent in hospital and eight months in a personal care home, dealing with many medical problems, John died suddenly and unexpectedly on Friday, August 24, 2012 at Oakview Place Personal Care Home in Winnipeg at the age of 77 years. Since January 1979 John had lived in Winnipeg and previously in Montreal, Toronto, Winnipeg and Saskatoon. He was born November 20, 1934 in Loon Lake, SK to parents Aaron Henry Siemens and Helen (Wiebe) Siemens who predeceased him. He is survived as well by nephews and nieces of the Hildebrandt family and remembered fondly by them; Richard (Rick), James, Jeffrey (Jeff) and Lisa, and Angela and Andy Lekatsos. Other nephews and nieces are Christopher (Chris) Gibson and Jo-El Mollon, Daniel Gibson, Jessica (Taylor) and Nick Morse, Margaret (Toth) and Eduard Peters, Peter and Denise Toth. Surviving great-nephews and nieces are Piper Hildebrandt, Nicola (Niki) and Theodore Lekatsos, Matthew and Nathan Wiest, Jessica and Natalie Mollon, Heidi and Nicholas Peters. He was predeceased by brother-in-law Arthur (Art) Wiest; great-niece Angela Lekatsos; parents-in-law Herbert Wray Honsberger and Iris Moyer (Senske) Honsberger and brother-in-law Benjamin (Ben) Toth. John enjoyed sports of many kinds as a youngster and young adult, including riding a motorcycle. He continued playing golf for many years. His entire work life involved sales, beginning with the J.H. Ashdown Hardware Company in Saskatoon even while attending school. He went on to work for Rose Brand Pickles, McCormick's Biscuits, Nabisco Foods, (later Nabisco Brands) and W.H. Escott, as a Sales Manager from March 1972 on. John always had a home improvement project on the go. He read widely on a variety of spiritual matters during his last 20 years, prior to hospitalization. He found a great comfort in this reading. In compliance with John's wishes there will be no Funeral Service. Thank you to Kendra and the staff of 3 East at Oakview Place for their many kindnesses. Wojcik's Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.
