Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWESLEY JAMES CHILDERHOSE April 7, 1914 - September 7, 2012 Peacefully, on Friday, September 7, 2012 at the Charleswood Care Centre, Wesley James Childerhose passed away at the age of 98 years. Dad was born in Teulon, Manitoba on April 7, 1914. He lived there for most of his life, moving to Winnipeg on September 29, 2008. He is survived by daughters, Lorna (Harold), Marlyn (Arthur); grandchildren, Wesley (Nancy), Holly, Todd, Lisa (Jason), and Troy (Nikki); great-grandchildren, Andrew, Donovan, Ethan, Sienna, and Carson; stepbrothers, Walter, Roy, and Hugh; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Maisie (Mary Elizabeth, nee King); his father, William Childerhose; his mother and stepfather, Ida and David Buskell; brother, Leonard; sister, Beatrice; stepbrothers, Elwyn and Birtle; stepsisters, Mildred, Gladys, and Emily. Dad spent his life farming except for a three year stint in the army during the Second World War. He had a passion for farming and worked hard to provide for his family. He was a man of integrity, compassion, and generosity. He always kept a confidence. He had a great sense of humour, and loved to laugh. On many occasions, he laughed until he cried! Throughout his 98 years, he had a twinkle in his eye, a smile on his face, and kept a positive outlook on life. A very special thanks to all the staff at the Charleswood Care Centre who were so kind, compassionate, and caring to Dad. God Bless You! At Dad's request a private graveside service will be held at the Dundas Cemetery to celebrate his life. Donations may be made to the Teulon Hunter Memorial Hospital. My father is a farmer - That's all he'll ever be. The values that the land taught him, He handed down to me. I love my farmer father - I'm thankful that he's mine... I pray that God would Bless him, Today and for all time.

Our sympathy on the death of your father. Our parents were good neighbours as we grew up. Wes always had time to chat and always had that ready smile. Again out deepest sympathy. - Posted by: Tom & Barbara Bowman (Cook) () on: Sep 15, 2012
