Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDAVID HAMM Our wonderful Husband, Father and Grandfather David Hamm went home to meet his Lord and Saviour on Friday, September 21, 2012 after a short illness. He is survived by his loving wife Katie of 58 years and by his daughter Sandra (Sarah, Quinton and Parker) and by his son Lawrence, wife Susan (Michaela, Melissa and Megan). He is also survived by one brother-in-law, three sisters-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews. David was born on February 22, 1930 in Sand Beach, Saskatchewan. He married his beautiful Katie in Winkler, MB on May 8, 1954 after which they moved to Winnipeg. They welcomed Sandra into the Hamm family in 1965 and then Lawrence in 1967. Faith and Family were David's main passions in life. He spent all his time, talents and energy sharing his faith and growing his beautiful family. Being a Dad and a Grandpa was David's greatest joy in life. David worked hard all his life as a carpenter and then a machinist at Ford New Holland. He was one of the founding members of Gospel Mennonite Church in Winnipeg where he spent many hours as a committee member, Sunday School teacher and volunteer for Winnipeg Harvest. Viewing will be at Green Acres Funeral Home on Highway No. 1 East in Winnipeg on Monday, September 24, 2012 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The celebration of life for David will be held at Morrow Gospel Church - 755 St. Anne's Rd. in Winnipeg on Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. with burial to follow at Green Acres Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The People's Gospel Hour.
