VICTOR FRED PETIT July 1, 1938 September 11, 2012 On Tuesday, September 11, 2012 Vic lost his battle with cancer. Vic is survived by his wife Wendy, his children Jeanne (Bruce) Lamarre, Florance (Lou) Krause, Fred Petit, Phillip (Vel) Petit, Robert (Jeannie) Petit, Jill Boer, Scott (Anise) Petit and stepdaughter Jodi Loftus, his grandchildren Jeremy (Kathleen and family), Shawn, Melissa, Shiloh, Cameron, Brendan, and step grandchildren Scott, Jayson and Kassi. He is also survived by brother Paul (Terri) Petit and sisters Louise (Lucien) Brule, Cecile (Ron) Vandekerkhove, Rose Sych and Reine Trudeau, as well as several nieces and nephews. Vic was predeceased by his brother Edward, sister Rita and daughter Giselle. Vic was born in Grande Pointe, MB. He started his meat cutting career at age 16, working for Swift's in Winnipeg. He moved to Kamloops in 1966, where he worked at Kamloops Meat until 1975 when he left to start working for Valleyview Overwaitea Foods until his retirement in 1995. There will be no funeral at Vic's request. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society in Vic's name would be appreciated by the family.
