Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDIETER RUDOLPH On Friday, September 28, 2012 after a courageous battle with COPD, Dieter Rudolph passed away. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Renate, stepdaughter Annette, Son-in law Mike and grandchildren Steven and Jordan. He also leaves behind, brothers-in-law Richard and Alfred. Dieter is also survived by brother Walter, sisters Ingrid and Esther daughters Sabina and Monika and son Andreas. Dieter was born in Minden, Germany on August 13, 1940. He was an exceptional chef who took great pride in his cooking. In accordance with Dieter's wishes there will be no service. A celebration of Dieter's life will take place with close family and friends. RIP Dieter, we will miss you dearly!

I had the pleasure of working with Dieter back in 2002 in the Northwest territories near Tuktoyaktuk. It was one of my first camp jobs and I went in to bake even though I didn't have much experience baking. Dieter took much time out of his days over the next few weeks to teach me how to bake and I continued to use his recipes for years afterwards. He was a great man, an amazing teacher, and I considered him a friend. I'd lost touch with him over the years and just came across his obituary today.
