VERNA ISABEL LEE 1923 - 2012 Verna Isabel Lee passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Care West Sarcee Hospice in Calgary, AB on Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at the age of 89 years. Verna was born June 5, 1923 in Gilbert Plains, MB. She married Lloyd Lee on July 18, 1945 and together they raised six children. After retiring in 1982, they lived for 12 years in Creston, BC before moving to Innisfail, AB in 1994. Verna spent the past eight years in Calgary, AB. She leaves behind her children, Larry, Sherrill, Carol, Ken, Kim, Faith and their families including 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren as well as her sisters, Marge, Grace and Edna and their families. Verna was predeceased by her husband, Lloyd Lee; son-in-law, Sydney Pinto; brother, James Charles and her parents, Robert and Annie Charles. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Care West Sarcee Hospice for the care and kindness shown to Verna during her last days. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at visitation held at FOSTER'S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen's Park Cemetery) on Monday, October 8, 2012 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at FOSTER'S GARDEN CHAPEL on Tuesday, October 9 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Queen's Park Cemetery.
