MARJORIE EDITH CANN Marjorie Edith Cann (Oldfield) passed away quietly and at peace on September 28, 2012, at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg. Marjorie lived a full and fruitful life enjoying many pleasures including working in her garden, heading to the family cottage, and taking trips to far off destinations, especially Hawaii. One of her favourite past times was working on her crossword puzzles while enjoying the company of her beloved husband Glen of 57 years that always put a smile on her face. Marjorie was the matriarch of the family, worked in the family business, and was always willing to lend a helping hand when needed. Her witty sense of humour, class, and dignity made her one of a kind and will be truly missed by all those who loved and cared for her. Marjorie is survived by her husband (Glen), brother (Alan), daughter Laurie (Wayne), sons Tom (Diane) and Rob (Evelyne), grandchildren Trish (Dave) and Lee (Jen), and great-grandchildren Reese, Jack and Tyler. The family wishes to express their sincerest thanks to the staff at the Health Sciences Centre - Surgical Intensive Care Unit for the caring and compassion they showed during this difficult time. The family will be holding a private event to mark Marjorie's passing. Donations in lieu of flowers may be sent to the Canadian Diabetes Foundation and/or Breast Cancer Research.
