Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRUTH CHRISTINE FARYNA (nee DYRKIS) It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Ruth Christine Faryna (Dyrkis) of Carmel, Indiana on April 24, 2012. Ruth is survived by husband Lorne; sister Helen (Bill) Burkett; brother Harry (Bev) Dyrkis; niece Amanda Dyrkis; nephews Jason (Andrea) Hawkins, Chris and Andrew Dyrkis, Ryan (Abby), Darren (Amy) Burkett; great-nephews Noah Hawkins, Ryley, Tristin Burkett; great-niece Kaytlyn Goddard, and cousins. Ruth was predeceased by parents Harry and Alice Dyrkis and many aunts and uncles. Ruth attended Cecil Rhodes and St. Mary's Academy. She worked for Credit Foncier until 1969 when they moved to Chicago where she opened and managed travel agencies giving her the opportunity to travel the world. In 1979 they moved to Indianapolis where Ruth opened ShiRu Originals which she successfully operated for 30 years. Ruth was a member of Beta Sigma Phi, Garden Club, Travel Club and Red Hatters. There will be a celebration of Ruth's life on October 24 at 7:00 p.m. at St. James Presbyterian Church, 1476 Portage Ave. Rest in Peace, Sis
