DAVID VINCENT GOTTFRED After a full life, Dave left us peacefully with his family at his side, on October 25, 2012 at the Health Sciences Centre, following a brief fight with Leukemia. Celebrating his life are his blended family, wife of 25 years Liz, children Bruce (Michelle) of Chelsea, Quebec, Lynda, Heather (Keith) of Cochrane, Alberta; stepdaughters Ronda (Rob), Lisa (Tim), Belinda (Brad), Vanessa (Doug); grandchildren Kyley, Cassy, Johni, Brendan, Brenna, Danielle, Nicholas, Max, Talia, Zachary and Morgan. He is also survived by his sister Eileen McIvor of Mission, BC. Born December 17, 1936 he lived his younger years in Fort Garry and later moved to the west end of Winnipeg. He went to Daniel McIntyre high school and later studied Accountancy at the U of M. This became his life work and he worked in senior accounting fields throughout his life. Dave enjoyed many sports such as golf, curling, bowling and although not too proficient, he enjoyed participating. After retiring, he spent much of his time at their cottage in Lakeshore Heights. We would like to take this time to thank Dr. Jill Horton for her kindness and the staff of GB3 for treating, both Dave and his family with dignity and respect. Please know you were very appreciated. Family and friends can gather at Dave and Liz's home to share their memories on Thursday, November 1 at 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba.
