Date of Passing: Nov 06, 2012
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBIBI SAMAROO It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bibi Samaroo, who left her loved ones on November 6, 2012, at St. Boniface Hospital surrounded by her family. Bibi was born on August 18, 1932, in Guyana, South America. She was the daughter of the late Wajid and Habiban. Wife of Kasim, mother of Farida (Shahir), Saferan (Abdool), Janet (Mahammad), Shameer (Fazia), Rayman (Christine), Veena and Malika (Naz). Grandmother of 13, Grandmother-in-law of seven, Great-Grandmother of 19. Sister of Kirule of Toronto, and the late Shamrool, Lasmoon and Naimoon. Mom immigrated to Canada in August of 1986, to be with her children in Winnipeg. She faced many challenges throughout her life but always found a way to ensure that her family was taken care of. She was tenacious, loving, caring and full of life and laughter. She was always the life of the party. Her tenacity helped her to persevere through life. That persistence was passed down to her children. Mom you'll always live in our hearts and our lives. We will miss you dearly. We would like to thank the staff of Seven Oaks Hospital, the paramedics, and St. Boniface hospital. A religious ceremony will be held at the Winnipeg Grand Mosque, 2455 Waverley St., at 12:30 p.m. The burial and reception will take place at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Mom's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
