MARIAN PARIJ On Wednesday, November 14, 2012, Marian Parij passed peacefully into the presence of the Lord at the age of 93. Marian is survived by his loving wife, Helen; his children Walter, Julia (Ken); as well as grandchildren Talia (Tom), and Jordan. Born in Nieznanow, Ukraine on September 13, 1919, Mom and Dad came to Canada in 1947 to build a new life for themselves and their family. Marian was a well-respected sales manager in the auto industry for many years. He worked hard for his family in order to give them a better life. Funeral service to take place 10:00 a.m., Monday, November 19, 2012 at St. Joseph's Ukrainian Catholic Church, 250 Jefferson Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Joseph's Ukrainian Church - Outreach Program in memory of Marian or International HOPE Canada, P.O. Box 23041, RPO McGillivray Blvd., Winnipeg, MB R3T 5S3. Vichnaya Pamyat

  • I recall your parents from our childhood when they resided on Boyd. Your dad was a kind man. Later in life he became a neighbour to my in-laws and my parents along with yours were enjoying ones fellowship the weekend I met my husband to be. I will fondly remember your father. Our deepest condolence to Pani Parij and family. Julia, your dad is at home, in heaven, with family and friends. May this bring you comfort.
