MANIBEN MEHTA On Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at 12:50 p.m. Maniben Mehta passed away peacefully at Tuxedo Villa with her family by her side. She was 101 years old. Ba will be greatly missed by her daughter Tara (Ramanlal), sons Kanu (Nayan), Ramesh (Lynn) and Naresh (Asha), grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Paragji, son Kishor and family and her beloved granddaughter Uma. Ba was born in Vapi, Gujurat, India on January 7, 1911. After her marriage to Paragji they moved to Kampala, Uganda where they spent the next 24 years and on retirement returned to India. In 1974 they moved to Winnipeg to be close to their children and for the past several years Ba made her home with Naresh, Asha and family. Ba was strong willed and very loving. She had a sharp mind and could remember absolutely everyone's birthdates when others could not. If you needed to know anything you asked Ba. The family would like to thank the staff at Deer Lodge Centre and Tuxedo Villa for their care and compassion over the last four months. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 24, 2012 at Thomson "In the Park" Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard.
