RONALD BURTNIAK On Wednesday, November 21, 2012, after a lengthy illness, Ronald passed away peacefully at the Health Sciences Centre at the age of 73 years. Ronald was predeceased by his mother, Nel; father, Michael; brothers, Larry and Edward. Ronald had many fond memories of travelling this province, making deliveries for Pepsi-Cola Company. He really loved the road. If you wanted to talk billiards, Ronny was your man (or shark). Ronald absolutely loved the fame and the camaraderie of the Pool Hall whether in Winnipeg, Plum Coulee, or Long Beach, California tournaments, or just for the fun of it. Ronald was definitely a force to be reckoned with, one of the best. In compliance with Ronald's wishes there will be no Funeral Service. Wojcik's Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements. "You are loved and will be missed"

Growing up in the old neighborhood of Wpg. I knew well the Burtniak family. I played many a game of snooker (and lost) with Ron & his Brothers, at "Pop's Poolroom on Logan at Ellen. The older Brother ED and I both joined the Wpg. Police. They all were a credit to the neighborhood, and loved by all. Reading Ron's obit brought a flood of memories to me.
