HELEN HAMMOND (BARGEN) Helen passed away peacefully at St. Paul's Hospital in Saskatoon on November 23, 2012. She is lovingly remembered by her daughter-in-law Judy, Elaine (Roy) Piper and Eleanor Hammond, grandchildren Leanne (Rob), Cale (Amy), Vanessa (Brian), Krista (Darren), and great-grandchildren Riley, Bronwyn, Layne, Cole, Aidan and Connor, and many friends. Helen was predeceased by her parents Abram and Susana Schmidt, husband Henry Bargen (1969), son Dennis (2006), husband Fred (2008), brothers Ed, John, and Henry, and sister Dora. Helen's gentle ways and kind heart touched everyone she knew. She was a very artistic lady and excelled at sewing and needlework. Helen's family and friends will always remember the wonderful meals and special treats she prepared for them. A funeral service for Helen will be held at Hillcrest Funeral Home on Thursday, November 29 at 2:00 p.m. (east on 8th St., first right past Briargate Road). Interment will take place in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Winnipeg at a later date. In Helen's memory, donation may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society (101-440 2nd Ave. N., Saskatoon S7K 2C3).
