• Dan used to load my trailer at Sobeys. He always went above and beyond the call of duty in helpfulness. He cared a lot about other people. He cared very much for his daughter and his dad and spoke about them often. I will miss him very much. - Posted by: Ron Kolesar (friend) on: Feb 10, 2013

• I worked with Dan for more than five years at Sobeys West Headquarters. He always brought a smile to my face and supported me when things were not so great. He left an impression on my inner most emotions and always looked at the brighter side of adversity. But most of all, he listened to what I had to say instead of merely waiting for his turn to speak. I'll never forget you Dan! And I will make readily sure that your memory lives on in the literature that I will be contributing to an international marketplace. I recall the last time we spoke, when he told me to never give up on a dream in despite of others who would seek to discredit my abilities. He loved his community and was always upset whenever crime made it almost intolerable. He was one of the toughest people I've ever known, and when I see him again in the next life, I will drink a case, eat up some whoppers, and most of all... • Dan and I met back in 1987 and we had gotten to be great friends over the years. We lost touch but recently reconnected on Facebook and it felt like we hadn't missed a day. I just found out today that my dear old friend passed away. I am still in shock as I write this. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. • Daniel was a Material Handler on the Dock in our Winnipeg facility who started with TransX in July 2012. He did not work for us long - but he made an impact ! He was well liked and will be missed.
