JAMES WILFRED TOUROND 1933 - 2012 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear father, grandfather, and friend James Tourond. Jim passed away unexpectedly at his residence on December 11, 2012. Dad was born to Alfred and Octave Tourond on July 23, 1933. He spent many years in Sandilands growing up with many of his siblings. He met and married Delores Ducharme on November 17, 1956 and together they settled in Vermilion Bay, ON. Dad spent 33 years working for Dryden Pulp and Paper Mill and during that time they raised seven children. Dad had many passions one of them was hockey, watching Hockey Night In Canada, watching his beloved Habs win many Stanley Cups. His other enjoyments were hunting, fishing, and always time with family and friends. Dad is survived by his children, eldest daughter Debbie Reid, Gail Tourond, Glen Tourond (Della), Karen Sautner (Brad), Cheryl Paul (Willard) Laurie Couture (Aldege); his grandchildren, Jen Oberg (Calvin), Sharlene Tourond, Danielle Reid, Steven Reid, April Boomhower (Wayne), Florette Lambert, Alyssa, Kelsey, Cassidy and Tessa Sautner, Amanda Keshane (Spencer), Crystal Tourond (Kolton), Darren Tourond, Terri-Lynn Koury (Erin), Justin Cederwall, Clayton and Cj and Audrey (Mark), Ashley Cederwall and Andrea Cederwall. He is also survived his sister Aurise Bain and brother David Tourond (Juliette), his brothers-in-law and sister-in-law and many great-grandchildren, whom he enjoyed dearly. Our dad was an uncle to many and fondly remembered by them all. He was predeceased by our mother Delores Tourond on July 25, 2005, previous to that his son Wayne Tourond on September 27, 1997, also his parents Alfred and Octave Tourond, mother--in-law and father-in-law Michael and Lena Ducharme. Dad wasn't a rich man but he had a heart of gold, ask anyone he helped out. He was always there when you needed him. He will be Lovingly Remembered and Greatly Missed. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home, Hwy. No. 1 East at Navin Road, Winnipeg, MB. A Funeral Service will follow on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. also at Green Acres Funeral Home, Hwy. No. 1 East at Navin Road, in Winnipeg, MB with Rev. Father Fred Olds officiating. Interment will follow in the Green Acres Cemetery.
