JOSEPH PRAYMAYER, JR. Joseph Praymayer, Jr. born January 2, 1923, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2012 in Alberta. He was raised in Sprague, Manitoba and spent much of his working life in Ontario. Upon retirement, he returned to Sprague to farm the land and be close to many of his siblings and parents and raise his own family. He enjoyed the accomplishments he achieved: on the land, with the animals and with his family. He maintained a high level of morality and ethics and passed on many of his beliefs to his children. His care and compassion for others was known by all and he exhibited class from a by-gone era. He leaves behind his wife, Irena (Zarnowski), his children: Pam Christler-Martin (Ross), Jason (Tammy Tasker), Shellie Rowe (Sean Schafer) and grandchildren Faith, Hope, Donovan, Whitney, Kostas, Jillian, Megan, Elwood, Gracie, Sullivan, Jacob and Izabella, as well as his siblings, their spouses, nieces, nephews and friends in Manitoba, Alberta and Ontario. He is someone we looked up to. He could not be duplicated and will not be forgotten. A private memorial service is being held in Alberta on Saturday, December 29. An open memorial will be held in Sprague, Manitoba in the spring, to be determined.
