Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGLADY RITA ARMSTRONG (nee FISHER) April 24, 1979 - December 23, 2012 It is with deep sadness that I announce the passing of my wife Glady in Winnipeg on Sunday, December 23, 2012, at the Winnipeg Health Sciences Centre, after a lifelong and courageous battle with Cystic Fibrosis. Glady will be forever missed by her mom, Gladys; father, Jack; sister and brother-in-law, Jackie and Mike; nephews Flint and Quentin who were her pride and joy whom she loved to play with and talk to; in-laws, Anne and Bob who felt that Glady was the daughter they never had and loved her like a daughter; many aunts, uncles, and cousins who will also miss her; best friends Tracy and Joanne who were always there for her - their strength and friendship will always be remembered. Glady was my wife, lover and best friend, and life will never be the same without her at my side. She was my soul mate and our favourite times were out camping and fishing together in the summer. Our Date Nights on the weekends with just the two of us enjoying the others company will always be remembered. I will never forget her. On Thursday, January 3, 2013 Glady's Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. in Church of the Rock, 1397 Buffalo Place. For those who wish, viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m. She will be laid to rest in Brookside Cemetery, 3001 Notre Dame Avenue. In lieu of flowers, donations in Glady's memory may be made to Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Box 21008 - 33 - 3900 Grant Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3R 3R2. I am so sorry to hear about Gladie, what a wonderful girl, and knew her working with her mother at the day care. Terrific sense of humor and the joy of her mother. My thoughts and prayers with you. Sorry I never kept in touch all those years past. - Posted by: Pat Komadowski (worked with Gladys long ago) on: Jan 05, 2013

Chris & Gladys, so sorry to have missed seeing you at the funeral. It was a lovely tribute to Glady, and her singing "The Rose", brought everyone to tears. I will always remember the day I married you both, your love for each other was undeniable, and lasted till the end. Cherish the beautiful memories of her, and take comfort in knowing that she is now in heaven singing with choirs of angels. Chris, to lose your wife is a tragic end to your love story, Gladys, I can't imagine your pain in loosing your daughter. You are in our prayers. I wanted to convey my sincere sympathy on the loss of your wife. I don't think I can fully comprehend what a profound loss that is. I know that you both had a strong and loving relationship, I know that you will have the strength to get through this very sad and difficult time. If I can be of any help, do not hesitate to call upon me. Love you always... Your cousin Lisa - Posted by: Lisa Euchuk (Cousin to Chris) on: Jan 02, 2013

I remember Glady as a little girl. She would come over and play with my children. She always wore a smile and was so kind. Even at a young age she never let her illness slow her down. May fond memories and time ease the pain of your loss! - Posted by: Simone Major (Glady's mother's friend from Carman MB) on: Jan 02, 2013
