DOUGLAS (BIMBO) WAYNE BROWN November 20, 1953 December 28, 2012 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our brother Doug. Doug was predeceased by his parents Robert and Doris Brown as well as five brothers and two sisters. He will be remembered by sisters May McLauchlan of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Norma (Ray) Steffensen of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Sally (Bill) Salter of Clandeboye, Manitoba as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, special niece Shelley and friend Tim. Doug was born and raised in Winnipeg and spent all his life in the Brookland's and Weston area. Doug and brother Lorne had a siding business, but Doug was forced to retire early due to his health. A celebration of Doug's life will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Thomson Funeral Home, 669 Broadway. Interment will be held at a later date. Flowers are gratefully declined, donations in Doug's memory may be sent to a charity of your choice.   • Bimbo and I grew up together in Brooklands and he was the first love of my life. Even though we were only 11 or 12 years old. He still holds a piece of my heart to this day.   • My memories of growing up in Brooklands and sharing those experiences with Bimbo are a reminder of what a good friend he was. Getting tickets for wrestling from Bob was a highlight for us, making signs and just acting crazy, those memories still bring a smile all these years later. My condolences to the family.
