Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEILEEN WHITESIDE Eileen Whiteside passed away January 1, 2013 at the age of 97 years old. She is survived by daughter Norma (Diane) Leonard (Ian), her son Earl (Carol) Whiteside, her five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

When I moved to Canada with my parents and we lived on Rosedale Avenue my first friend was Diane. I have wonderful memories of being at her home, on the lawn swing, playing crochet. Mrs. Whiteside was always cheery and loved to bake. Grandma/Grandpa Lydon were her parents and also special people on our block. We went on Sunday picnics, and I will always remember New Years Eve at the Lydons. They were a wonderful family and I spent many hours in their home. I hadn't seen Eileen for a number of years after leaving Wpg. for Edmonton but I thought of her often. She brought up her family and did a wonderful job. She will be missed.
