Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • I share your sorrow at this difficult time, even though no one can really know how each heart feels at times like these. As cousins, Deane and I had many sleepovers and even though I was the older one, she took care to make sure all was right with me. I remember on one sleepover, there was a terrible thunderstorm and the power went out. I was already a bit homesick, and this set me to tears. After a few words of concern and comfort, Deane rushed to get her mom who called my mother and made everything better. Deane was a caring person who would spare no effort in helping those around her, and that is how I will remember her. • I am so sorry of Deane`s passing. I wish I could have been with her one more time. We shared emails and telephone calls and that is what I will keep in my heart. Oh yes the wonderful memories of us growing up. You are in a much better place my friend, till we meet again. My deepest sympathies to her family.
