ALLAN KENNETH FEHR July 4, 1949 - January 1, 2013 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Allan Kenneth Fehr, on Tuesday, January 1, 2013, after a four year battle with cancer, at the Neepawa Health Centre, with his wife Margaret and cousin Greg at his side. Allan attended Blake School and W.M.C.I. in Gladstone. When he was finished with school he worked for the Royal Bank for three and a half years in their branches at Beausejour, Selkirk, Steinbach, Pierson and McCreary. Early in the spring of 1971, Allan left the bank to go farming. He married the love of his life Margaret Ford on May 22, 1971. In January 1982 Allan began working for Farm Business Consultants as a tax consultant. In addition to working with F.B.C., Allan returned to active farming for a few years. Allan left F.B.C. and in 1993 started A M Income Tax with the office in their home. In recent years Allan served on the boards of the Gladstone Austin Natural Gas Coop and Riverside Community Residence. Allan is predeceased by his parents Victor and Elsie Fehr; parents-in-law Ken and Helen Ford; brother Ronald and step-nephew Cody Davis. Left to cherish his memory is his wife Margaret; son Rodney and wife Lisa; daughter Sherri and husband Jason Spurrell and son Jeff and fiancé Nora Goodyear. Allan had nine grandchildren Elizabeth, Kimberly, Kathryn, Timothy and Mattias Fehr and Jesse, Justin, Ethan and Abi Spurrell. He is also survived by sister Lorna (Owen) McGorman; brothers Gerald (Kerry) Fehr and Glenn (Laurie) Fehr; sister-in-law Joanne Fehr; brothers-in-law Gorden (Debbie) Ford and Ernie (Linda) Ford and sisters-in-law Ruth (Leander) Unger and Lorna (Reg) Rivett as well as 23 nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. Funeral service was held January 9, 2013, at the Gladstone Christian Fellowship with Pastor Randy Fehr officiating. Burial at the Gladstone Cemetery was held prior to the service.
