LAURIE BARBRA ANNE KUCH It is with great sadness and sorrow that we announce the passing of Laurie Kuch at the age of 48 years from a brain aneurysm on Friday, December 21, 2012 at the Health Sciences Centre with her dearest friends, Alvin and Kim at her side. Laurie will be remembered for her kind heart, sense of humour and forever loved and greatly missed by her parents, George and Bernice; dearest friends, Alvin and Kim, calling her my sister and Kim's husband Glen and their children Nolan and Lauren calling her Aunty Laurie ; dear friends, Nicole, Leslie and Anita; neighbours who were also her friends, Serge and Joann and Marty and Joann; aunts; uncles; cousins; relatives; co-workers and everyone who knew her. On December 11, 1964 Laurie was born in Winnipeg. She attained a Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in criminology from the University of Manitoba. She was employed with Canada Revenue Agency for 21 years and loved her position as an investigator calling this her dream job . Laurie's love for dogs began at the age of 4 and one-half when she got her first dog from the Winnipeg Humane Society and when anyone asked her where she got her dog she would quickly respond Manehu Ciety . She was a big fan of Jon Bon Jovi calling him my boyfriend and attended many of his concerts here and in the USA. She also enjoyed doing crafts and shopping excursions to the USA. In compliance with Laurie's wishes, no Funeral Service will be held. Thank you to the paramedics, doctors and nurses at Grace Hospital and Health Sciences Centre for their care and compassion, and to all who sent flowers, food, cards, telephone calls, donations to the Winnipeg Humane Society and support from family and friends during this unexpected and difficult time. Should friends so desire, donations can be made in Laurie's memory to the Winnipeg Humane Society or Manitoba Mutts Dog Rescue. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Funeral Director, Richard Wojcik of Wojcik's Funeral Chapel and Crematorium, 204897-4665.
