BASIL MAYNARD COLE Peacefully, on Monday, January 21, 2013 at Seven Oaks Hospital Mr. Basil Cole, aged 83 years, beloved husband of Shirley Cole passed away. Longer obituary to follow.

  • He was my neighbour. I knew him as Lolo Basil since I am Filipino and I grew up knowing him as "grandpa basil". Shirley & him always remembered to make my siblings & I feel special on our birthdays, on Christmas and even the smallest holidays. From when we were born till now, you guys always remembered. He was always kind & definitely made the neighbourhood feel safe. Him & shirley always looked after my mom & dad from being immigrants. Condolences. I'm thinking of you Shirley.   • It is with great sorrow in our hearts that we learn of Basil's passing and our condolences to Shirley. Basil was a long time close friend to us both in Montreal and Winnipeg and we enjoyed so many good moments as well as shared many interests together. We will miss him greatly.
