KEN VAIL 1956 - 2013 Suddenly on Saturday, March 9, 2013 Ken passed away at the age of 56 years. Ken will be dearly missed by his loving wife Dianna; kids Chris Tergie (Peggy), Georgia Ginter (Jason); grandchildren Jasmin, Kendra, Brooklyn and Ashley; sisters Joan (Richard) Smith, Vi (Norman) Slongo, Linda (Jim) Simpson; brothers Richard, Doug (Ardeen LaFroy); as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Bill and Stella; and brother Bill. Born in Thunder Bay, ON, Ken lived in Winnipeg for the last 31 years. Music was a big part of his life and he was an accomplished drummer in his younger years. He was happiest when surrounded by family and friends, and four legged friends Bailey, Miley and Daisy, for bonfires and BBQ's in the back yard. Respecting Ken's wishes, no Funeral Service will be held. If friends so desire donations to the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated. Richard Wojcik, Funeral Director of Wojcik's Funeral Home Crematorium, 204-897-4665, www.wojciksfuneralchapel.com. "WE LOVE YOU POPPA!"

  • I was in the Militia Band with Ken in the early 1970s in Thunder Bay. I was always impressed (my being a young budding drummer) at how great of a drummer he was and really a friendly great guy. I also took some drum lessons with him at Slongos music store later on. - Posted by: Keith Vander Wees (friend) on: Jul 24, 2017
