BEVERLEY AMBER MAY STANLEY Peacefully, surrounded by family and friends, Beverley Amber May Stanley of Winnipeg passed away at St. Boniface Hospital on Saturday, April 13, 2013 after a brief battle with cancer, at the age of 63 years. Left to cherish Beverley's memory are one daughter, Bobbi-Jo (Derek); brothers Jim (Donna), Gary, and Ron (Karlene); sister-in-law Linda; numerous nieces, nephews, and special friends, Steini and Linda, Barb and Don, Wendy, Dee, Bonnie, Bernice and many more. She was predeceased by her father Howard; mother Marjorie, and brother Carl. Beverley grew up in Amaranth, MB, until she moved away in her teenage years to work. She spent all of her adult life in Winnipeg, working as a welder. She also spent many years working security at the Winnipeg Arena, MTS Centre, and Canad Inns Stadium, where she enjoyed meeting people and watching concerts and sporting events. As a single mom, Beverley took great pride and joy in raising her only daughter, Bobbi-Jo. She enjoyed big family gatherings, and devoted a lot of time to her great-nephews and nieces. She also loved spending time with her "grand-dogs" Daisy and Jasper. Bev loved to travel, to visit family and friends, as well as a special trip she took to Greece with her daughter in 2008. She also had a passion for shopping, and was always looking for the best bargain. Beverley always put other's needs before her own. She lived life to the fullest and loved to laugh. She always made sure everyone else around her was looked after. She will be greatly missed by all those she touched in life. On Friday, April 19, 2013 Beverley's Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. in ANAF #283, 3584 Portage Avenue. Special thanks to Dr. Darcy Johnson, the staff at St. Boniface Hospital Palliative Care, and CancerCare Manitoba. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba, St. Boniface Hospital Palliative Care or the Winnipeg Humane Society. Bev and I were one of the oldies that started at Winnipeg Enterprises. {Bobbi-Jo was only a young girl at the time}. Bev and I immediately became friends and often talked about our lives and goals. I remember her being a great Mom and always talked about Bobbi-Jo. After many events, lots of us would meet at the Legion on Empress Street and reminisce the nights and activities. Marlene, Bev and I would get together many times for suppers, beers and enjoyed each other's company and Bev's positive attitude. Both Marlene and I will greatly miss Bev, but know that she is in a place of no pain. Bobbi-Jo we share your pain and will always love your Mom. Our thoughts are with you and Dereck. - Posted by: Allen and Joan saunderson (friends) on: Apr 18, 2013

Bev and I go back to the 80's, when I moved to BC we lost contact, but Bev was everything everyone said about her, a wonderful person and a great friend. I am so sorry Bobbi-Jo, but she doesn't hurt anymore. I remember you but you most likely don't remember me, you were a baby when I left Winnipeg. Bev you will be missed by many especially myself. You were such a positive spirit and much like a mom to me. You reached out to others and welcomed me to family functions like I was your own. This was the type of person Bev was and I will cherish that I was able to be a part of your life. I am greatly saddened that you are gone and will look forward to one day meeting up again. Smittys wings and beer will never be the same without you. Bobbi-Jo my thoughts are with you!! Rest in Peace my friend.
