Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDARLENE AGNES LAGIMODIERE (nee CRAIG) September 15, 1945 - April 13, 2013 It is with deep sorrow the family announces the sudden passing of Darlene at the age of 67. Darlene leaves to mourn and will be forever kept in the hearts of her husband Gerry, of 47 years; her seven children: Craig, Laurie, Michele (Al), Derrick (Vera), Randy (Shauna), Lisa (Paul); 13 grandchildren: Shane, Duane (Roseanne), Justin (Connie), Jasmine (Jerome), Nicole (Dale), Jodie, Jeanette, Brandyn, Nathan (Wynter), Joshua, Amanda, Corey, Jordan; five great-grandchildren: Delorian, Haily, Kia, Phaeton, Klhoe; brothers: Gerald (Connie), Gordie; sisters: Rosalie, Marie; brother-in-law Darrin (Terry); sister-in-law Joyce, many nieces, nephews and family friends. Darlene was predeceased by her parents Gordon and Rose; daughter Charlene, and great-grandson Dominic. Darlene was born in Ft. William, Ontario where she met Gerry. A few years later, together with their children, they moved to Winnipeg to raise their family in the early 1970s. Settling down in the north end of Winnipeg, their house was "home" to many, not only to family but to friends of theirs and their children; everyone was welcome. There are many precious memories that we'll always have including weekends spent camping at the Oasis. Darlene's life was dedicated to her family whose lives she enriched so much with her support, wisdom and endless unconditional love. We love you so much; you will live on forever in our hearts. The family wishes to thank the staff from the Winnipeg Fire and Paramedic Services who tried so hard to bring Darlene back to us; but it was not to be. A funeral to honour Darlene's life will be held in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Avenue at Henderson Highway on Friday, April 19, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with viewing one half hour prior to the service. Following the service, family and friends are invited to a reception being held in the club room at the Polish Fraternal Aid Society, 768 Mountain Ave.

I grew up with Darlene's family since I was 10 yrs old. She was like a second mom to me, with all the time I spent in her home. Had lots of memories of sleepovers, eating meals, going shopping with my mom and laughing till we all peed our pants. The summers camping at the Oasis. She will always be a huge part of my life. Hugs to everyone. Love Roushka - Posted by: Rose-Marie Ducharme (friend) on: Apr 17, 2013

So sorry to hear of your loss. Although we never frequented each other's home, we shared the same community since the late 70's. Darlene and I often had our chats on the street or in the local neighbourhood stores. Walking past her home during the nice weather, we would often see her sitting on her veranda, enjoying the outdoors. Our sincere condolences to all of her family. She will surely be missed by many.
