It is with great sadness that I found out about the passing of my Uncle Albert. My condolences to family and in particular to my cousin Linda who had a special caring relationship with our Uncle. Uncle Albert to me was the serious caring Uncle. He showed me special kindness when he looked after my "Mandy". I will always remember his small house which he enjoyed. Uncle Albert you were a good son, brother, uncle and will be remembered fondly by all. Rest in peace my dear Uncle. - Posted by: Diana Baxter (nee Filyk) (Uncle) on: Apr 21, 2013

My dearest thoughts to the Clawson and extended families. Remember the good times and where we came from. Louise and Shorty Clawson; together once again as a family. Auntie Em, Uncle Joe, Auntie Beatrice and Uncle Peter, Uncle George (Toto),Uncle Ted and Aunt Lottie, Auntie Corrine and Uncle Borden, Uncle Wilf and Auntie Mary, Uncle Bob and Aunt Elsie, Uncle Howard and Aunt Sue, Uncle Jack, and now Uncle Fats- A Decorated Soldier- Korean War Veteran. A wonderful man who enlisted - he wasn't afraid to fight for our freedom. A loving brother, special uncle and good friend. My earliest memories of Uncle Fatso was at Union Station. He was in uniform standing with his mother (Gramma Clawson) and proudly displaying his medals. This was post era of the Stella/Flora neighborhood where the original Clawson family grew up after arriving from Sussex, England. Uncle Fats was as a great fisherman. There were many good times at Caddy Lake and The Narrows. He loved to drive. Uncle George bought a 52 Chev so he and Fats could get around. Uncle Fats was also a good window cleaner and very good at cleaning canopies with uncle Peter at the army bases. Of all the uncles, Fatso laughed the most. There were just so many good times when Fatso was around. There were also many good times at Winnipeg Beach. Uncle Fats loved all his brothers, sisters, nephews and nieces. I remember he was very happy when the Clawsons from Port Arthur decided to relocate to Winnipeg. He was also very happy to have Patty, Linda, Perry and Terry in his life. To the very special nieces and nephews who remained lovingly close to uncle Fats in the later years, I send my deepest and humble gratitude for the love you gave him and share in this moment of passing. Far better to have had and say goodbye, than to never have had at all. all. - Posted by: Chuck Filyk (Nephew) on: Apr 20, 2013
