JOYCE EDNA MCFARLANE March 1928 - April 2013 On Friday, April 26, Joyce completed her "journey home" at the age of 85 years. In compliance with Joyce's final wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no memorial or formal funeral service. Joyce will be dearly missed by her Sister Vera in England and extended family in both England and the United States. Joyce's close friends of many years will always remember her great "British" humour and the pride she carried in her British heritage. She was a sincere, loving and kind friend in all her ways; true in her heart and mind. Joyce lived her life with dignity and pride; she was upright and just to the end of her days. We will miss you in so many ways, but will always treasure our friendship. The shared memories we carry close in our hearts will keep you ever near. Goodbye for now dear friend. Joyce loved her pet Benji and should friends or family so desire, donations may be made in her memory to the Winnipeg Pet Rescue Shelter 3062 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg, MB, R3K 0Y1.

  • I always appreciated her friendly gracefulness regardless the sometimes difficult circumstances. I was amazed at her physical strength when I helped her move furniture in her home. Her interest in all my children as they were growing up was a sign of her great neighbourliness. Enjoy your well deserved eternal rest. - Posted by: Charles Hamelynck (longtime close neighbour) on: May 04, 2013
