DOROTHY GARLAND TEARS I weep for all I did not do For rushing forth to meet the world Not thinking of the hidden holes As you run along the rugged path Of all the things I should have said But in my hurry thought not of death If only I had taken time To brush my hand across your brow And told you what was in my heart Suddenly that time was gone And all I have is memory So now as I go slowly on I try to help as people pass A cheerful word a little pat Surprising what some love can do So this is what I give to you By Dorothy Garland
