GOLDWYN G.R. FOWLER (GOLDY) July 1, 1949 - June 20, 2013 It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. Goldy will be greatly missed by his wife Marylyn, son Chris, daughter Christie, grandchildren Jode, Dawson, his "little brother" Serle (Sheryl) and his dog Marla. He was predeceased by his parents Grace (2004) and Campbell (2008). Goldy's main passions in life, other than his family, were golfing in the summer and bowling in the winter. He also enjoyed reading in his spare time and he loved his dogs which he adopted from the Humane Society. Goldy worked as an owner operator truck driver in his last few years up until January 2013 when he became ill with lung cancer. As per his wishes cremation has taken place and there will be no formal service. The family thanks all the doctors, palliative care staff both at home and the St. Boniface Hospital for their excellent care. In lieu of flowers, if friends desire, donations can be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, Manitoba.
