WILFRED FRANK GAFKA Winnipeg - June 18, 2013 Wilf was born December 26, 1924 and died peacefully on June 18, 2013. He was predeceased by his parents and his brothers and sisters (Bill, Irene Lawrence, Phil, Teresa). He will be missed by his wife (Jean Gugin), sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, and by his many nieces and nephews. Wilf traveled across rural Manitoba as a lab- and X-Ray technician and was a successful commercial real estate broker in Winnipeg. He treasured his summer cottage at Westhawk Lake and the company of his dogs and cats. Wilf will be remembered for his gentle spirit, his sense of humour, and his devotion to those he loved. The family wishes to thank the social and care workers (Comforts of Home Care) and the staff of the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority (Family Managed Care and Palliative Care) who helped Wilf enjoy his last year. In lieu of flowers, friends and relatives are asked to donate to the Humane Society or to a charity of their choice.
