Condolences & Memories (11 entries)

  • To the Goodman family, I was sorry to hear about your loss. My thoughts are with you all. Especially Anne and Dan and Anny, who I have known for many years. - Posted by: Dalia Stewart (Friend of Dan) on: Aug 29, 2013

  • I would like to add my tribute to Lloyd. Although I worked in the Planetarium, in those early years we all worked together as a family and Lloyd was very much a part of that family. He was always willing to help wherever and however he could. He had a wry sense of humour and was a great story teller. He always had a smile and a kind word for everyone. He was a good friend who you could count on. I was saddened to hear of his passing and my thoughts and prayers go out to his family. - Posted by: Ed Barker (co-worker) on: Jul 24, 2013

  • I've known Mr. & Mrs. Goodman through my friend Dan for over 30 years. I have always said they are two of the nicest people I have ever met. It is evident through their kids! Double L was a great man and will be missed by all. Our deepest sympathies to the entire family. - Posted by: Jim & Tracy Cosser (Family friend) on: Jul 22, 2013

  • I, too, will add my voice to Sharon and Ian. I have always liked Lloyd and appreciated him very much. He was a good person. - Posted by: Bill Preston (co-worker) on: Jul 19, 2013

  • I would like to add my voice to that of Ian Swan, in saying that I appreciated Lloyd as a colleague at The Manitoba Museum (of Man & Nature) for many years. Lloyd was a hardworking and dedicated employee; friendly and helpful. He was a no nonsense kind of guy whom we admired for his 'let's get this job done' approach. I always liked his great turquoise finds from his trips to Mexico! My condolences to Lloyd's family. - Posted by: Sharon Reilly (former co-worker) on: Jul 19, 2013

  • It's with fondness that I remember working at the Museum. A lot of that fondness is due to the many people that I came into contact with during my 18 yrs. there. Lloyd was one of those persons that whenever you came across him, there was always a story or joke to be shared. His outlook on life and work was unique and always interesting. It is with great sadness that I've heard about his passing. My thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time. - Posted by: Ian Swan (former co-worker) on: Jul 18, 2013

  • Anne, Pat, Dawn, LLoyd Jr., Darren and Danny. Our deepest sympathies to you all and your families. Mr. Goodman always had a happy smile and a kind word. I remember the time I asked him to check the furnace switch as I could smell a burning odour coming from it. Our parents were not home so he came over immediately and quite frankly I believe he saved our home from a possible overnight fire. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. - Posted by: Carol & Glenn Chudley (Next Door Neighbour and friend) on: Jul 16, 2013

  • i love you grandpa. i miss you. - Posted by: jess goodman (grandson) on: Jul 15, 2013

  • It is with great sorrow that I read of the passing of our wonderful next door neighbour Lloyd. Even tho many years have passed since we met, Lloyd's humour and friendly and cheerful character have not been forgotten. I extend my deepest and sincerest sympathies to each and every member of Lloyd's immediate family. My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time. - Posted by: Hector St Pierre () on: Jul 15, 2013

  • " Pops" was one of those special individuals you meet in life that give you a shining example of how you would like to be "when you grow up". He had a great way of making everyone who became part of the Goodman extended family really feel welcome. We appreciated our time with Lloyd - Posted by: Blake , Sheri, and Annika Russell (Close Freinds ) on: Jul 15, 2013

  • My sincere sympathy to the family during this sad time of loss. I have many memories of times spent with the Goodman families. I hope that precious memories, along with the love & support of family & friends will help to ease the pain and know that he suffers no more. - Posted by: Cathy Olive (Family Friend) on: Jul 15, 2013
