LORRAINE EILEEN NYQUEST (nee PIRRIE) Suddenly on July 22, 2013 Lorraine Nyquest passed away at the age of 71 years. She was predeceased by her mother Pearl Pirrie, father George Pirrie, sister Margaret Salter, and husband Karl Nyquest. Lorraine is survived by her loving husband Martin Lemky, of 19 years; her children George (Kim), Laurie and Carol (Dennis); eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, sister Hilda, and brothers Gordon (Ingrid), George (Charlene), Brian (Midge) and John (Dolly). Lorraine was born on July 5, 1942 in Winnipeg. She was an active bowler at Polo Park Bowling Alley on Monday mornings. She also enjoyed her Wednesday evening Bingo night with her sister. Lorraine was a loving wife and mother. Her greatest joys were spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. We would like to thank the Paramedics and Emergency staff at Concordia Hospital. Funeral Service will be held Monday, July 29 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler at Henderson Highway. Interment will follow at Brookside Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren David, Kevin, Jonathon, Kahla, Jessica, and nephew Guy Lussier. Honorary Pallbearers are her grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Stormi, Brianna, Rylane, Summer, Hunter, Kelessica, Kalli-Ana, Jeremiah, Kavon, Katrina, Ariella and Persayus. In lieu of flowers, donations if friends so desire, may be made in Lorraine's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

  • Lorraine and Martin were great friends of my late husband Chuck ! When I lost him they never ceased their friendship but extended it to me which I am sincereily greatful!
