Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBARBARA LOUISE GOLDMAN STERN With serenity and dignity, and surrounded by many of her devoted friends, Barbara Stern passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2013 at 1:00 p.m., at the age of 73. Barbara was predeceased by her husband David Stern, her parents Sybil and Julius (Jolly) Goldman, and her sister Rhoda Kay. She is survived by her nephew David Kay (Lauren), her niece Jacqueline Furst (Donnie), her great-nieces and great-nephews, and her family of friends. Funeral services were held at the Chesed Shel Emes Chapel on Monday, July 29 with interment at the Shaarey Zedek Cemetery. Donations in Barbara's memory may be made to the Sybil and Julius Goldman Fund at the Jewish Foundation of Manitoba (204-477-7525), or the Grace Hospice, c/o the Grace Hospital Foundation (204-837-0375). All those who loved Barbara extend a special thanks to her friend Audrey Roitelman for her extraordinary dedication to Barbara during her illness.

Barb and I go back a long way through our bridge tournaments, I met my husband Mark through her as he was a groomsman, and now he has passed also, I was shocked to learn of this terrible news, may G-d bless u! I am currently away on a trip - I did visit with her just before I left. Barb and I met several years ago while we where on a trip to Portugal and have traveled several times since. A wonderful travel companion and I will miss our often Movie nights and dinner to Sushi or East Indian restaurants. Barb you are missed!!!
