BERYL VIOLET PELLETIER It is with sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Beryl Violet Pelletier (nee McCaffrey) on September 4, 2013 in Edmonton, Alberta. She leaves to mourn sons Reice (Joanne), Greg (Diane) and Alec (Bev). She also leaves to mourn six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, brother-in-law Gerald Harper and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Hugh and Floral May McCaffrey, brothers Elmer and Edgar McCaffrey and sister Joyce Harper. Mom was born on December 12, 1925 in Miami, Manitoba. The family later moved to Winnipeg and later Brandon, Steinbach and Lethbridge. She worked for many years at Sears Canada in Lethbridge. Mom was an avid bridge player and belonged to several clubs in Lethbridge. She was also politically active in many federal elections with the Reform and later the Conservative Parties. Many thanks to those staff members at Capital Care Dickensfield Lodge who treated Mom with compassion and dignity in her final years. As requested, cremation has taken place. A private family gathering will take place at a later date.

Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • I grew up as a neighbour of the Pelletiers on Sterling Avenue in St Vital. We maintained a friendship for a number of years but lost touch when we all moved. My condolences to Reice, Greg & Alec. - Posted by: Sandy Stratton (Friend) on: Sep 15, 2013
