HARRY SAVAGE After a brief illness; it is with deepest regret that we announce the death of Harry Fredrick Savage of Winnipeg, MB on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at the Grace Hospital at the age of 73 years. Harry is survived by his four sons, Jason, Jordan, Harry, and Barry Savage. He was predeceased by his mother Violet and father Richard. In 1957 Harry began working at Christies Cookies and retired in 1996. He started in the warehouse then worked his way up to foreman and then finally salesman. Harry loved to go hunting, fishing and going walks in the bush. But his passion was helping friends and family with anything they needed; from helping a family member with fixing a house or fixing an engine on a car. I am truly heartbroken to hear of Harry's passing. Way too young. He was instrumental in our growth and development of us as sales reps. A man of integrity. He always had our best interests at heart. He guided us through so many transitions at Christie's. He cared for the senior guys and yet found a way to embrace the younger generation and change. Truly a caring guy. I miss his openness, his laughter, his hunting instincts, his ability to roll with the changes. People like Hugo Dyck, Earl Christianson, Bob Davidson, Lori Martin, Richard Kovacs, Bob Warner, Jerry Ricci, Barry Halbert, Mark Pyne, Claire Litke, Tom Pajot, a guy like Harry made it easy to support your desire to excel at a young age and despite the age difference, he was such a willing participant.....nothing short of a great guy. I am so disappointed he left us so early in life. His family needs to know that he was loved by all of his coworkers and even more so, his customers like Lenny B. We already miss you Harry. RIP my friend, He taught me so much. - Posted by: Doug Fraser (coworker) on: Oct 12, 2013
