ANNIE PETERS (nee KROEKER) Annie Peters (nee Kroeker) went home to her Lord on Saturday, October 5, 2013. She was born on October 9, 1915 in Russia, Terek Village No. 7. With her family, she immigrated to Canada in 1925 and settled in the Whitewater, MB area. She lived and worked with her family on the farm for many years. She was a member of the Whitewater Mennonite Church. Annie came to Winnipeg, where she worked first as a domestic and then took a course in hairdressing. She worked in Flin Flon for a few years and then in the Hollywood Beauty Parlou for 20 years. During this time she bought a house which she renovated into apartments for rental income. After retirement she was employed as a short order chef at the Mall Hotel. She was married to John Peters from 1983 until his death in 1990. She was predeceased by her parents, Peter and Katherina (Dyck) Kroeker; her husband, John Peters; four brothers, Jake, Abram, Henry and David Kroeker; her sister, Katie Fast; brother-in-law, John Fast; and two half-brothers, Peter and John Kroeker in Russia. She is survived by two brothers, George (Rena) Kroeker and Bill (Anne) Kroeker; sisters-in-law, Annie Kroeker, Kay Kroeker and Irene Kroeker; and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her husband, John's children, Erna (Henry) Dueck, Henry (Ida) Peters, David Peters, Robert (Margaret) Thiessen; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
