IRIS WILLMOTT September 15, 1930 - October 5, 2013 With very heavy hearts we announce the passing of a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. After a lengthy and courageous battle with CLL, Iris died with dignity with her loving husband at her side. Iris will be forever missed by her husband John; sons Robert (Connie), Tony (Carla); daughter Maria (Don); and her loving grandchildren, Shay-Lynn, Jaime, Jordon, Ashley, Taylor, and Brendan. Born in England, Iris immigrated to Canada in 1965 with her husband and children. Settling in Winnipeg, she raised her family and worked a variety of jobs from Sears to managing a car wash. In her retirement years, Iris kept busy knitting and crocheting, creating beautiful pieces to sell at the numerous craft shows her and John attended. In honouring Iris's wishes, no formal service will be held. The family would like to say thank you to all the doctors, nurses, staff, and volunteers at CancerCare for making her visits something she looked forward to. You were her extended family. Also many thanks to the caring doctors and nurses at St. Boniface Palliative Care Unit for your compassionate care and for comforting Iris in her final days. Wojcik's Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, 2157 Portage Avenue, 204 - 897 - 4665, is in care of arrangements. wojciksfuneralchapel.com.
