ILSE MARTIN Our mother and grandmother passed away on October 9, 2013, after a long and remarkable life. Oma was born on November 23, 1922, in Varel, West Germany. In 1946, she married Werner, her husband of 59 years. They immigrated to Canada in 1955, with two children and three suitcases. They initially settled in Murdochville, Quebec. Eight years later the family, which had grown to four children, moved to Winnipeg. Oma was predeceased by her husband who passed away on January 9, 2005. She is survived by her four children, Nicole, Peter, Isabel (David), and Chris (Nancy); eight grandchildren, Aaron, Ben, Suzanne, Adam, Lauren, Max, Ali, and Nicholas, and great- grandchild, Finn. The family extends its sincere appreciation to the staff of the Tuxedo Villa Personal Care Home, for their care and kindness. A private service has been held.

To Chris and extended family. My sincere condolences on the passing of your mother. I only had a few opportunties to meet her over the years I was with MCI and she was a very kind and gracious woman. It was very obvious your father loved her very much. God Bless, Ron Campbell was - Posted by: Ron Campbell (aquaintence) on: Oct 21, 2013
