Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJUDITH ANNE GERTRUDE VANDER PLOEG (nee HILLYER) May 24, 1951 Winnipeg, MB October 18, 2013 Calgary, AB Judy Vander Ploeg of Airdrie, formerly of Davis Pointe, MB, passed away on Friday, October 18, 2013 at the age of 62 years. Judy is survived by her four children, Michelle Brown, Ian and Dawn Brown, Kim and Dan Laplante and Allison and Travis Flaig; grandchildren, Corrina, Nathan, Alexis, Hailey, Elle, Zach and Mara; her sister Jean Barker and her special fuzzy child Gidgette. She is also survived by Stan Vander Ploeg. Judy was predeceased by her parents Bernard and Irene Hillyer. A private family gathering will be held to celebrate Judy's life. I have many fond memories of your Mom as a young girl learning to ride a horse, snowmobiling, helping her Dad in the hayfield and later as a friend on Facebook. With heartfelt sympathy to the family. I have so many fond memories of your Mom from playing peek-a-boo when she was a baby, Christmas dinners, picnics, our love of animals especially cats, and later as a bridesmaid at my wedding. Judy loved to visit and reminisce. Now that the sun has set on one so very dear, please know a soul who lived so well remains forever near. I will truly miss you.
