ROBERT (BOB) WILLIAM SAVORY 1918 - 2013 Bob passed away peacefully September 24, 2013, at the Deer Lodge Centre. He was predeceased by an infant brother, mother Jane, father Charles and sister Margaret (nee Bourdon). Bob leaves to cherish his memory brother-in-law Ray, niece Lee, husband Peter, Chris and Lindsay. Bob grew up in North Winnipeg and attended Luxton and St. John's High School. He spent over four years overseas in the military during the Second World War. He was stationed in the United Kingdom, the Mediterranean, Northwest Europe and Germany. Bob was employed by Safeway and later on by the City of Winnipeg Water District Department where he spent 27 years until his retirement in 1983. Bob was an avid golfer, curler, reader and extensive traveler. He enjoyed travelling to different parts of the world and took great interest in their history and culture. His favorite travelling memories were the many cruises on the Queen Mary and Holland America Cruise Lines. He also enjoyed his yearly train rides to Vancouver spending time at the Sylvia Hotel. In accordance with Bob's wishes there was no service. His ashes have been laid to rest at Elmwood Cemetery in the family plot. Uncle Bob, your kindness will never be forgotten.
