JAMES NORMAN CAMERON WHYTE September 19, 1931 - November 16, 2013 It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our father, Jim Whyte. He is now with his beloved wife Joyce. Jim is survived by his daughters Arlene (Peter), Susan (Craig), grandchildren Jaime, Jennifer, Drew and Sean, great-grandsons Connor and Aiden, brother Gordon (Anne), and many nieces and nephews. Jim was a dedicated and proud employee of MTS for 35 years. Family was first and foremost with Dad. He was a devoted husband, father, gramps and great-poppa. He was Santa, the Easter Bunny, the witch at Halloween, incredible gardener, a man who loved a good sale (but also known to have expensive combs in his pocket), loved his soap on a rope, loved his sports, but also was an astute investor who loved the stock market. He taught us well. Special thanks to the staff at Park Manor for the excellent care given to dad and the support given to us during the past four years. Also a special thanks to family and friends for their care and compassion. A private joint service will be held at a later date. Now you are together forever and will always be in our hearts.

Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • As one of the new kids in sales at MTS we would spend hours with Jim discussing customer relationships, sales and mostly family and life. How to paint properly, Doreen Bissett Dance for my girls, appropriate business attire and even how to change a diaper. Jim was always opinionated and we loved it. - Posted by: john warkentin (friend and sales associate) on: Nov 25, 2013

  • MAY BEAUTIFUL MEMORIES GIVE YOU STRENGTH IN THESE DIFFICULT HOURS. Veronica Sichewski on behalf of THE MTS VOLUNTEERS. - Posted by: Veronica Sichewski (MTS) on: Nov 24, 2013

  • Dad We were so blessed to have you and mom as our parents. You were a man of true integrity and taught us so many valuable life lessons that we will continue to pass on to our children and grandchildren. You taught us how important family is and it didn't matter how difficult things were, the four of us united and supported each other. I am comforted by living in our family home where there are so many happy special memories that I will always hold close to my heart. Love you both with all my heart and you will always be with me. love Arlene - Posted by: arlene (daughter) on: Nov 23, 2013
